My Hot Tamale has gorgeous twisted locks & beautiful luster -- her fleece was one of the ones sent in for the Suri Network Luster Study. Opening the bag was like a shining black light . . . She is a superior-fleeced alpaca, with fine greasy suri fiber. She is solid true black -- no browning, no tipping. And REALLY, REALLY BLACK. She is not bay black or one of those brownish ones sometimes marketed as black. She is solid, deep, true BLACK. Her exquisite fleece alone should put her in a foundation herd! The fiber on her neck looks and feels like black velvet.
She comes from excellent maternal and paternal lines and should produce well for many years to come. Her sire, USA Licorice, is a full Peruvian true black herdsire co-owned by Mystic Springs Ranch and Sterman's Paradise.
Tamale is a full third generation suri on her sire's side, a full fourth generation suri on her dam's side, going back to 5th generation on her maternal side. She has an all-suri pedigree and is half Peruvian and half Bolivian.
Tamale was bred to premiere herdsire Accoyo White Shadow and gave birth on September 4, 2010 to Inti, a light-brown male cria with incredible coverage and unbelievable luster in a newborn.
In September 2011 she delivered a beautiful fawn female whose sire is WRSA's Pistol, a multiple, national award-winning gray. We named that baby girl Drop Dead Gorgeous, which pretty much sums her up!
She was bred to WRSA's Yodi this year, so we are expecting more great things in 2012.
